The best wedding photography 2019/2020. What a fantastic selection of fabulous couples and amazing weddings! Thanks to all my lovely couples who were absolutely brilliant to work with and for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It was hard to select from so many great weddings but here are my personal favourite images from 2019 and a few from 2020 (unfortunately because of Covid I didn’t get to photograph as many weddings as I would have liked in 2020 but role on 2021 when hopefully weddings will be back on track!). I’ve chosen the images for various reasons; they may have an interesting composition, unusual or amusing content, or have a strong emotional impact.
My style of photography is a combination of photojournalism and creative portraiture. I use a documentary approach throughout the whole day to capture key moments and connections between the couple and their nearest and dearest and to capture character, personality and relationships in ways that are truly meaningful to them. Most couples also like a few artistic portraits and I enjoy whisking the couple off for a few minutes to create some beautiful images utilising their venue interiors and surroundings.
I absolutely love my job and it is a real honour to be given the task of covering such an important day. Thanks so much to the fabulous venues who looked after us on the day and it was a pleasure to work in your stunning venues. Some memorable ones from this year were Allerton castle Weddings, Saltmarshe Hall Weddings, Middleton Lodge Weddings, Rudding Park, The Normans, Tithe Barn and The Principal York Weddings. Thank you also to my second shooters Lucille Moore, Eleanor Woodruff and Katy Harris who were great fun to work with and did a fabulous job.
As a final note, I was honoured this year to be asked to contribute an article to The Photographer Academy’s online monthly ezine which can be seen here
I hope you enjoy the images below 🙂 Roll on 2021!
