Rachel and Chris got married at the perfect time of year at Swinton, when the autumn foliage is at its best. The red creeping ivy, which makes a striking autumn presence at [Swinton Park](https://www.swintonestate.com/celebrate/weddings/), adorned the castle turret, turning the building an intense shade of red. They also had gorgeous blue skies and sunshine on my arrival and I saw the morning mist rising off the grass and a few deer walking around the estate. It is a stunning place to get married and especially on a day like they had! I arrived to meet the girls getting ready in one of the bridal rooms, in fact the one leading out onto a balcony under the huge castle turret! We made use of this balcony as it was completely adorned in autumn leaves and matched the girls amber dressing gowns. It was also a beautiful view of the estate from up there. We even had a sneaky peek of Chris and some of the groomsmen arriving from the high vantage point. Rachel had her baby girl with her in the morning, and for the rest of the day. I have to say I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a smiley baby. She thoroughly enjoyed herself all day long and spent a lot of time laughing into my lens! Once ready, the girls made their way to the ceremony room via the very elegant Swinton Park staircase. Meanwhile Chris and the groomsmen were waiting in anticipation of the bride’s arrival. Rachel looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle, arm in arm with her father, and holding their baby daughter. Both she and Chris were visibly emotional as they locked eyes. The ceremony was filled with warmth, smiles, and laughter, creating the perfect atmosphere. As the couple exchanged vows, their joy was palpable, and as they walked back down the aisle as newlyweds, they were met with a wave of applause from their loved ones. After enjoying drinks and canapés, we took a peaceful stroll around the venue for some natural couple portraits. The light was perfect for capturing some lovely moments around the estate and the blue skies made for a stunning reflection shot by the river in front of the castle. Next, the entire wedding party embarked on a scenic walk through the rolling landscape, up the hill to the Deer House, where the reception would take place. As I was already at the top of the hill I had a perfect vantage point to capture Rachel and Chris, surrounded by their closest friends and family, with the striking backdrop of Swinton Park behind them. As they walked, Chris carried their daughter on his shoulders much to her amusement and a I managed to get some lovely images of them having fun together as a family. At the Deer House, heartfelt and emotional speeches brought tears and laughter, making for an unforgettable evening. The couple then cut their cake before sharing their first dance. Soon after, the dance floor filled with guests, and the party came alive with energy, laughter, and celebration, rounding off a truly spectacular day.
