We really has an amazing crowd, such a lovely couple and a fabulous venue! What more could we ask for! Esher had a great time getting ready with her bridesmaids in one of the Milner’s suites. I arrived to a very busy room and lots of activity. Once Esther was ready her Dad was ascorted into the room, eyes closed, for the big reveal. On seeing his daughter he had such a lovely reaction which caused quite a few tears around the room. Soon Esther was walking down the grand staircase with her Dad ready to take the short journey to the church. ## Wedding Ceremony at St Mary’s Church York The couple tied the knot at St Mary’s, a cute little church in the centre of York. Richard and his groomsmen were at the church and were in fine spirits greeting the guests as they arrived. Esther looked absolutely stunning walking down the aisle with her Dad and Richard looked so happy to see her. In fact, Richard, also known as Caddy, simply had a beaming smile on his face the whole day! The ceremony went without a hitch an invoked a few tears and quite a bit of laughter at various points. Afterward the guests lined the narrow streets and enthusiastically showered the couple as they walked through a very long confetti tunnel. Fortunately the rain held off for the confetti but then the brolly’s did have to go up briefly for the ten minute walk from the church to the venue. This was only a light shower though and I think added a bit of drama to the day and the photographs, as the guests and the couple all walked through the cobbled streets of York to the venue. ## Wedding Reception at The milner York The Milner is a fabulous venue. Recently refurbished and with late victorian architecture and stunning interiors. On arrival we took advantage of these gorgeous interiors to do a few couple photographs, utilising the beautiful chandelier lined corridors and the stunning staircase. Soon it was time for the wedding breakfast and Esther and Richard walked in to the room to a huge applause. I loved the fact that they started proceedings with a game of bingo, the winners of which received a round of extra drinks for their table, much to their delight. All the speakers were fabulous and they all had the room in hysterics. I loved the fact that the bride also gave a speech and a very good one at that, she was a total natural. After dinner everyone retired to the patio outside for some fresh air and to greet the evening guests. Then it was time for the evening reception and the dancing. Richard whisked his bride around the dance floor for a fabulous first dance, before being joined by the guests. This really was a fun crowd and I absolutely loved the band who encouraged everyone up onto the dance floor for some group dancing and singing! I left as the whole wedding party was rocking the night away. Thank you to Esther and Richard for choosing me as your Milner York wedding photographer. This was such a lovely wedding to photograph and I really enjoyed it. A huge congratulations to the couple and all the best for your future lives together. Thanks you to the Principal Hotel for being so accommodating on the day and it was a pleasure to work again with Louise Lunn who did the fabulous makeup for Esther and all the girls.
