This is a lovely new venue set in some beautiful Lake District parkland right on the shore of Lake Windermere, an absolutely stunning location for [wedding photography in the Lake District](https://kmattssonphotography.com/lake-district-wedding-photographer/). Now this was a December wedding and the couple were not expecting to have a high chance of a sunny day and unfortunately, they did get a fair bit of rain. But this did not dampen their spirits in the slightest. With some incredible Christmas styling and a fabulous group of very friendly family and friends, they had the most beautiful, warm and fun day you could ask for. The whole day just had the most brilliant atmosphere. She braved the elements of a December Lake District Wedding to make sure she captured our day exactly how we wanted. We cannot thank her enough. Helen & Joe --- ## A Town Head Estate Wedding Ceremony Once the bride and groom were ready, the bridal party made their way across the courtyard to the upstairs barn where Joe was waiting for his beautiful bride to be. Helen looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous dress from Morgan Davis Bridal, as she walked down the aisle with her Dad on her arm. The ceremony went without a hitch with two lovely readings from both the bride and grooms’ sisters. The newly married couple walked out to much applause! ## Lake Windermere Wedding Photography After the ceremony, the couple were cheered on enthusiastically as they walked into the marquee and were showered with a great deal of confetti from a very long line of confetti throwers! Afterwards, whilst everyone enjoyed some champagne and canapés, the couple took the opportunity to nip down to the lake in the car for a few photographs. I must say, I do love an adventurous couple and the rain was certainly not going to stop this couple getting some beautiful wedding photographs on Lake Windermere. The rain and mist only added to the drama of the location! ## Wedding Celebrations at Town Head Estate Soon it was time for the wedding breakfast. The couple walked into a beautifully styled room filled to the brim with cheering guests. The styling by Emma Jane Events was absolutely gorgeous. The speeches all went so well and were both funny and heartfelt, producing a lot of laughter and not a few tears. After dinner, it was time for the cake cutting then the couple hit then dance floor for a fabulous first dance. I must point out, that this wedding had the most brilliant dance floor energy, what an amazing crowd. I must bring particular attention to both sets of parents who really showed off their dancing skills!!
