I’m a documentary-style, Yorkshire wedding photographer working primarily throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Cumbria, but also venturing further afield to cover weddings across the UK and abroad. I photograph all kinds of weddings, from small, intimate celebrations to large-scale, elaborate events. If you are planning your big day I’d love to hear from you!
My wedding photography style is primarily documentary which means natural and unobtrusive. I’m not interested in posing people and I won’t ask for fake grins! I have a very hands-off approach to capturing the unique moments, fun and emotion of your day. I’ll also offer some gentle direction in a very natural way for a few creative, high-impact wedding portraits, incorporating beautiful light, colour and scenery. I’m a Yorkshire wedding photographer that loves the scenery in this area and will happily incorporate rugged sweeping moorlands and dramatic Yorkshire views into my wedding photography.

I have had my wedding photography images published in blogs, training articles and magazines. I am also qualified with the Guild of Professional Wedding Photographers, and have won several wedding photography awards with the Masters of Wedding Photography and Fearless photographers.
What an incredible year, I absolutely loved it! I’ve put together a selection of my favourite wedding photography images from 2023. There were so many great weddings and fabulous couples to choose from. I’ve selected these images based on several factors. It might have been a moment I loved, a sweet interaction, a loving gesture, a big belly laugh, or it could be an image with beautiful, light & colour or an interesting composition. Yorkshire is a wonderful place to get married. There are so many types of venues to choose from and in so many different settings. From chic city hotels to elegant countryside mansions and rustic barns , there is something for every couple.
I’ve shot quirky weddings at the marvellously eccentric Crab and Lobster, beautifully elegant weddings at The Orangery in Settrington and romantic castle weddings at Ripley and Allerton. Of course there are the luxurious barns such as Wharfedale Grange or perhaps you’d like a marquee wedding in a countryside location with a fabulous view, such as Little Seed Farm. There really are limitless choices.
I must say I do love a wedding with a view and there are plenty of these to be had in North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales with wedding locations like Bolton castle, Danby Castle and venues such as Natural Retreats with beautiful views of the Swale Valley. If you are wedding couple that loves striking scenery then I’ll happily follow you up to a scenic viewpoint for some dramatic couple portraits during your day.
