Favourite Wedding Images

What an incredible year, I absolutely loved it! I’ve put together a selection of my favourite wedding photography images from 2023. There were so many great weddings and fabulous couples to choose from. I’ve selected these images based on several factors. It might have been a moment I loved, a sweet interaction, a loving gesture, a big belly laugh, or it could be an image with beautiful, light & colour or an interesting composition.  Thanks to my 2023 couples for all being an absolute joy to work with. I enjoyed meeting every one of you and all your fabulously fun family and friends!

I love photographing all types of weddings from the smallest home ceremonies to huge parties in big castles with crazy characters and a wild dance floor. If you are interested in booking me for your upcoming wedding I’d absolutely love to hear from you. I’m taking bookings for 2025/2026 and have a few dates left for 2024. Please contact me here.

A documentary wedding photography approach

Every wedding is different; the vibe, atmosphere and personalities on the day are all unique and its always my goal to capture the unique feel of your day on camera. My style of photography is a mixture of photojournalism and creative portraits. My aim is always to photograph you and your guests as naturally as possible capturing genuine emotions and unscripted moments. There will definitely be no hint of cheese, awkward posing or fake grins! Very importantly, I want the images to help you to remember how the day felt, not just how it looked.

I also love creative, artistic, vibrant images so I’m always aiming to incorporate beautiful light and scenery into my work wherever possible. For most weddings I will spend a short amount of time with you to create some artistic couple portraits also in a very natural style. I realise that you do not want to take too much time away from your guests or those lovely canapés so any couple portraits or family group shots are done as quickly and efficiently as possible, leaving you lots of time to mingle and have fun.

Wedding Photography in Yorkshire and the Lake District

Many of these photographs are from weddings in Yorkshire and the Lake District, two areas where I cover many wedding days. Love and landscapes converge in these regions for some unforgettable weddings and many of these images showcase the stunning beauty of these regions.

The variety of landscapes and wedding venues in these regions is fantastic. Castles and historic estates provide dramatic regal settings for striking fairy-tale images. Rustic Barns and farmhouse also provide beautiful romantic settings for timeless, intimate photographs. There are also plenty of elegant manor houses or mountain top/ lake side retreats, or if you simply want a wedding in a marquee there is no shortage of stunning nature spots with dramatic views.

As we bid farewell to 2023, I’m carrying these lovely wedding moments forward, allowing them to serve as a reminder of the enduring magic that weddings bring into our lives. Here’s to love, laughter, and the timeless beauty captured in every frame. Roll on 2024 and I can’t wait to photograph a new year’s worth of fabulous events.

If you’d like to have a chat about your upcoming wedding I’d love to hear from you.
