Amy and Matt had a perfect wedding day at the beautiful Hackness Grange in North Yorkshire. This venue is a stunning 19th century manor house located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. It is a very unique wedding setting with beautifully manicured gardens and a lake with an island pavilion for outdoor ceremonies. The couple were very lucky to have sunny weather all day long and I loved the rich rust colours that they choose for their colour theme . The flower arrangements by Jill at The Little Flower Hut were particularly stunning with lovely vibrant colours and the boys wore some very cool tweed suits with tangerine ties.
Amy and Matt are the loveliest couple you could meet. They met through their love of music when Matt asked Amy to a concert. I think he had to ask several times but she went with him in the end and the rest is history. I love the fact that they both have completely infectious laughter and spread happiness wherever they go. I could tell they were very much meant for each other!
The wedding ceremony went without a hitch in the very romantic pavilion set on its own island in the middle of the lake. The bridal party entered across the bridge and the lake provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony proceedings. I just remember there being much in the way of smiles and laughter and the guests completely bombarded the couple as they exited the island through the confetti tunnel.
There was no shortage of beautiful countryside pathways around the estate and the couple took some time to have some natural photographs of them exploring the forest, lake and river areas. Afterwards it was time for canapés and lawn games and then their wedding breakfast. The speeches were all fabulous, both very funny and also emotive, evoking much laugher and not a few tears. You could tell how close this set of family and friends were. After some very lively dancing the couple and guests went outside for a sparkler tunnel. This was one of the best sparkler tunnels I have ever photographed with Amy and Matt dashing through the tunnel , brandishing their sparklers and laughing with the guests. It was a fabulous way to end the festivities.
