I got the chance this month to do some more Hornington Manor wedding photography. Lauren and Robin got married at this fabulous venue in Bolton Percy. The day could not have been better, the weather was unusually fantastic for March with blue skies and all day sunshine! Hornington Manor is a beautiful house set on the grounds of a working farm in North Yorkshire. The venue has a lovely rustic, countryside charm with its huge old barn that was decorated beautifully by the couple with daffodils, burlap, candles and lots of personal touches.
We had a fabulous group of bridesmaids for this wedding, including a gorgeous little flower girl, and the bridal preparation stage of the day was really fun to photograph. Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her Anna Sorrano dress when she walked out to meet her Dad who was clearly moved by seeing his daughter for the first time on her big day. Robin and his groomsmen also got ready on site in a separate wing to the house so as to be in no danger of coming across Lauren before the ceremony.
Wedding Ceremony at Hornington Manor
The whole day took place on site and went without a hitch. The ceremony was quite emotional and very moving involving a few happy tears and much laughter. You could tell what it meant to Lauren to be marrying her best friend. There was a very long confetti walk as there were many guests and much confetti and I particularly enjoyed photographing the throwing of the bouquet and the rather amusing capture of the flowers as can be seen in the resulting images!
Reception in a stunning rustic wedding barn
The speeches went very well, amusing but also very heartfelt. It was really nice to see the bride also involved as both Lauren and Robin got up together to address the crowd. The night ended with some brilliant moves on the dance floor, not only be the couple, but also many of the guests.
This was a fun, relaxed but beautiful and elegant wedding at a stunning location with a really lovely couple. A huge congratulations to Lauren and Robin and thank you for choosing me as your Hornington Manor wedding photographer York. I wish you all the best for a wonderful life together.
