I’ve photographed quite a few weddings at Hornington Manor and it was lovely to back here again for Rebecca & Jamie’s day. This luxury barn venue is set in the grounds of a working farm and offers lots of options for accommodation including the Manor House, the Stables and some very cute Shepherds huts. I arrived to find Rebecca and her bridesmaids in the stables getting ready for the big day. The sun was shining and everyone was in fantastic spirits. Meanwhile Jamie and his many groomsmen were putting on their suits and matching yellow socks in the Manor House. I joined them for a few shots of them getting ready and playing a bit of pool. Once they were ready they ventured out into the sunshine to welcome guests as they arrived.
Rebecca looked stunning in her dress and her bridal reveal stirred quite a lot of emotions in both her and her Mum and Dad. She looked absolutely fabulous in her white bridal gown with beautiful lace detail. Once she entered the downstairs room the bridesmaids exploded in delight at her transformation. Rebecca and her Dad then walked the short distance across the courtyard to the ceremony room where their guests and Jamie were waiting. Jamie looked a bit nervous at the top of the aisle but got some reassurance from his best man. As Rebecca walked down the aisle he had the biggest smile on his face and I think Rebecca shed a little tear as she met her husband to be.
The ceremony went really well with some lovely readings by the bridesmaids, a few tears and hugs and then a fabulous first kiss as their marriage was announced. The couple walked back down the aisle to much applause and some lovely piano music. Once outside the guests formed a tunnel and the couple thoroughly enjoyed being bombarded with confetti as they walked down the line. Afterwards there was no shortage of hugs and the canapés and the drinks were flowing.
The couple wanted some natural portraits taken in the venue grounds so I joined them for a walk around the gardens. The sun was still shining and we made use of the courtyard and garden areas for some lovely couple portraits. Then it was time for their wedding breakfast and speeches. Rebecca & Jamie were announced into the reception barn to a standing ovation and the speeches got underway and were thoroughly enjoyed by the guests. After dinner the couple started their evening reception with a cutting of the cake and the first dance. Both Rebecca an Jamie whisked each other around the dance floor in style until their fiends and family join them to rock the night away. At the end of the night I took one last portrait of the couple outside in front of the venue, under the fairy lights.
