It was great to be back at one of the most stunning castle venues in Yorkshire. I’m really pleased to be a recommended Swinton Park wedding photographer and I’ve covered quite a few weddings at this stunning location. The Swinton Estate is a very versatile venue offering many options for both large and small weddings. Louise and Damien had a lovely small intimate wedding day with just very close family and friends. They had surprisingly good weather all day despite the fact that this was a December day, and I loved the Christmas decoration in the venue providing a lovely cosy, festive feel to their day. They made use of the elegant panelled for the ceremony and then later on moved into the cosy private dining room for their dinner. I was there for just a few hours to capture the main parts of their day.
Louise and Damian are clearly very much in love and they had a very friendly group of wedding guests. I really enjoyed documenting the love and laughter between them and their family members. The ceremony was very moving with lots of smiles and just a few tears. I also loved their exit into their confetti line as the guests really enjoyed bombarding them. After the ceremony we made use of the beautiful grounds for a few natural couple portraits. There was a December chill in the air but we had lovely blue skies and made use of the Christmas trees and fairly lights in the gardens for lovely backdrops to the photos. The architecture of Swinton Park is also so stunning that there is no shortage of lovely spots for photographs. Just before the couple sat down for their wedding breakfast they cracked open the sparklers for another set of fun shots with their guests. Before I left, I also took a few last images of the couple on the grand staircase surrounded by lovely Christmas lights and decorations.
