A stunning Yorkshire Dales Micro Wedding
During these difficult times of many wedding rearrangements, I’m very pleased that a few couples are able to still go ahead with their day and have small intimate weddings or elopements. I photographed one of these micro weddings recently at the Telfit Farm wedding venue in North Yorkshire, with Amy and Nick.
Telfit Farm is a stunning Georgian farmhouse set amongst the dramatic windswept hills of Swaldale in the Yorkshire Dales. We had a mix of weather, as expected in October, with some bracing wind and light rain but also some lovely sunny periods throughout the day. The sun actually appeared at just the right time providing some gorgeous light for the couple’s portraits in front of the sweeping Swaldale views. Perfect for some stunning Telfit farm wedding photography!
If you are planning a wedding at Telfit Farm check out some of my favourite images from Amy and Nick’s day below. For more information about my photography style please see the Approach page and the Portfolios page or feel free to get in touch below. I’d love to talk to you about your plans for your upcoming wedding day and see if I could be the photographer for you.
A barn wedding ceremony in the Yorkshire Dales
Amy and Nick had just a few family and friends with them to celebrate this lovely wedding in the Yorkshire Dales. They both got ready on-site with Nick visiting Amy in the bridal suite for a first reveal before walking together to the wedding barn for the ceremony. They were led into the barn by the bridesmaid (Amy’s sister Helen) and a very cute little pageboy Ruben.
The ceremony went without a hitch and was followed by canapés and champagne on the lawns, a few group shots and some couple portraits in front of the dramatic scenery. Eventually, it was time for the wedding breakfast back in the barn which was decorated beautifully with Amy’s flowers. I was told that Amy had been on a floristry course and had designed the wedding bouquets and flower arrangements herself and I have to say they were stunning! We stayed to photograph Amy and Nick’s welcome speech which went down very well with the guests, then left the couple and their guests to have their fabulous dinner in a very cosy atmosphere.
Thank you to Amy and Nick for choosing me for your Telfit farm wedding photography. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this beautiful, intimate and friendly wedding. I hope you had a wonderful time on your romantic getaway to Northumberland and that you will have an even more amazing time on your honeymoon in a few months’ time.
