Wedding Photography at Ox Pasture Hall
We travelled up to North Yorkshire for some fabulous wedding photography at Ox Pasture Hall with Rebecca and Alex. This super fun and relaxed couple decided to tie the knot at this lovely country hotel near Scarborough. Ox Pasture Hall Country House Hotel is a romantic country house close to the Yorkshire coast and with views of the Yorkshire Moors. We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather all day. Apparently Alex and Rebecca had rocked up to the venue early morning in a transit van full of many decorations which they had made themselves for the day. I arrived to meet the girls getting ready in the bridal suite and they were all in fine spirits getting excited for the day ahead.
Romantic Letters from the Groom
Apparently, by the time I had arrived, there had already been two incredibly romantic letters delivered to the bride from the groom! Inspired by the film “ps I Love you”, this delivery also involved a full slideshow presentation beamed onto the wall of the bridal suite!
I was there to capture the final (third) letter which was delivered by Rebecca’s Dad as he came in for the father/ daughter reveal. Dad was clearly very moved on seeing his daughter ready for her big day and they had some fun opening Alex’s final letter and the gift of a beautiful watch. Later I learned that both Rebecca and Alex by chance had bought each other watches and also vouchers for a gin tasting experience. Talk about two minds thinking alike. I think these two are really made for each other!
A Stunning Yorkshire Wedding Barn
The day went so well. They had a beautiful ceremony in the barn with some lovely readings followed by confetti and canapés on the lawns in the sunshine. All the speeches during the wedding breakfast were fabulous and had the whole crowd in stitches. Finally Alex whisked his bride around the dancefloor for a fabulous first dance before all the guests joined them to rock the night away. I heard later that there was some funny incidents later that evening including a rather unfortunate best man who happened to spilt his trousers!
All in all this was a brilliant day with a lovely atmosphere and a fun crowd.
