I was so pleased to be asked by Sandra and Trevor to be their Hazlewood Castle wedding photographer. I absolutely loved this beautiful wedding at this stunning venue near York that dates back to Norman times. Sandra and Trevor are the most lovely couple and you can just tell they are absolute soul mates. They choose this venue because they wanted a fabulous Yorkshire wedding venue and they really fell in love with the place and knew it was perfect for their day. Apparently, so I hear, they met whilst Trevor was applying for a job and it was Sandra who did the interview, obviously she gave him the job!
The day was perfect, even though it was March which can be a bit uncertain in terms of weather we had the most fantastic sunny day. Both Sandra and Trevor got ready at the castle and then both the ceremony and reception took place in the castles’ beautiful rooms.
A Castle Wedding Ceremony
The day was full of fun laughter, very friendly guests and gorgeous styling and details. Sandra looked fantastic in her dress along with the stunning bridesmaids in gorgeous light pink. Sandra’s son walked her into the ceremony to meet Trevor who was positively beaming. It was a lovely wedding ceremony and the rest of the day went perfectly to plan. I loved photographing this day because the grounds of Hazlewood Castle are so stunning so we had the opportunity for a great variety of natural wedding portraits as the couple walked around the grounds.
