As a very experienced Rudding Park Wedding Photographer, I was so pleased that Poppy and William chose me to photograph their day at this fabulous venue, and it was an absolutely brilliant day! The day went without a hitch and although we didn’t have bright sunshine all day the weather was pretty darn good for a late autumn wedding. I rocked up to the family home in Harrogate to meet the girls for the bridal prep and was met by a room full of happy family and bridesmaids all busy getting ready. In the meantime Will was getting ready with the boys at another location in harrogate, then heading to the pub for a quick pint before setting out for the church at Goldsborough.
A stunning North Yorkshire wedding ceremony
St Mary’s church at Goldsborough in North Yorkshire is a beautiful 13th century, medieval church. When I arrived William and the groomsmen were enthusiastically greeting the guests and getting ready for poppy’s arrival. Interestingly, weddings in the family went back a long way, with both Will’s parents and grandparents getting married in the same place . Also the car the brought Poppy to the church was the same company that Will’s parents used 35 years ago and even the same driver! The ceremony went ahead without a hitch. Will looked so happy as Poppy walked down the aisle with her Dad on her arm and the bride looked absolutely gorgeous in her Alan Hannah dress. After the ceremony there was an extremely enthusiastic throwing of confetti by the guests followed by a jump in the car and a quick drive over to Rudding Park hotel near Harrogate.
Wedding reception at Rudding Park hotel
On arrival at Rudding Park, the couple were greeted by their guests inside the hotel. We then took the opportunity to use the extensive grounds for some lovely natural couple images and some group shots on the Rudding park steps. Soon it was time for the wedding breakfast and the couple walked in to a beautifully dressed room and much enthusiastic applause. After the meal the couple hit the dancefllor for a really fabulous first dance following which the guests piled onto the dance floor and joined in the fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed photographing this wedding at Rudding park, there was a lovely friendly atmosphere and the whole wedding party looked like they had a thoroughly good time. A huge congratulations to Poppy and William and thank you so much for choosing me as your Rudding Park wedding photographer. All the best for a wonderful future together.
