Yorkshire Wedding Photography at Saltmarshe Hall

Once you’ve booked the perfect venue it’s so important that you find the right photographer. Your wedding images will last a lifetime and will record moments and emotions from your day that you will look back on for years to come and pass down through the generations. My wedding photography focuses on telling the story of your day. This means capturing how things feel, not just how they look. I want my work to capture who you are and your relationships with family and friends. You are unique and your event is unique and I want that to be reflected in my images.

I’m not fond of posed or staged images and I won’t keep you standing around for hours waiting for group shots to be completed. Of course, I always include group shots if you would like but I get these done quickly and efficiently so you can get back to chatting with your guests. I’ve included examples of some of my Saltmarshe Hall wedding photography below.

Saltmarshe Hall Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony always starts with a grand procession of the bridal party down the venue staircase. Couples have a choice of an indoor ceremony in one of the lovely airy and bright reception rooms or a ceremony in the beautiful gardens. You can see examples of both below.

Confetti

Although you can choose to have a confetti moment wherever you would like, the front steps of the venue are always a great spot. Beth & Nick and Hannah & Paul were bombarded, much to their delight, as they emerged form the building!

Saltmarshe Hall is a fabulous venue for wedding portraits. The walled gardens are absolutely stunning in the summer months with colourful flowers and herbaceous borders. There are also extensive lawns, ancient trees and tree lined pathways. With an endless variety of beautiful backdrops there is plenty of space to capture the couple together in this lovely environment. It’s also worth visiting the banks of the river Ouse in the evening for a riverside walk. You might be lucky enough to catch a sunset.

The wedding breakfast at Saltmarshe Hall can take place in the beautiful morning room or Al Fresco. The morning room seen in the images below is a lovely space with two large skylights which allows it to flood with light even on grey days. This room is just fabulous to photograph and the neutral palette means couples can adorn the room as they wish.
